Sunday, December 8th, 2013 — Please join us for our Special Charity Boxing Workout! The event will be held on Sunday, December 8th, 2013 at Title Boxing Club in Lake Zurich. There will be 2 sessions offered (12:30pm and/or 2:00pm) and the cost is only a $50 donation for a fun cardio-boxing workout.
3rd Annual Golf Outing & Dinner
Thursday, August 1st, 2013 — We are pleased to invite you to our 3rd Annual Golf Outing, Dinner and Auction benefitting the Lauri S. Bauer Foundation for Sudden Loss. This Foundation’s purpose is to offer help, healing and hope to other families who suffer from a sudden loss. Both golfers and non golfers alike are invited to participate in this event.
Hand in Hand: A Spousal loss grief support group for those 55 or younger
Thursdays, May 2nd through June 20th, 2013 — For those who are grieving the death of their spouse or partner within the past two years. This group will focus on the issues facing younger spouses including taking on new roles, self-care, coping skills, and getting support. We will provide dinner and childcare.
An Event in Support of our Community… Understanding, Preventing and Coping with Teen Suicide
Wednesday, May 1st, 2013 — This evening’s program will address teen suicide, arming community members with education and tools to better understand suicide and to identify the signs and symptoms of depression and mental illness. By increasing the dialogue around this difficult topic, we hope you will leave with a greater comfort level in initiating conversations with children, teens and loved ones looking for comfort, support and help.
Barr-Harris Children’s Grief Center: Downtown Chicago & Deerfield Workshops
Saturdays, February 16th through April 13th, 2013 — These workshops are designed to provide critical information regarding the impact of parent loss on children and their families, along with a variety of appropriate treatment approaches and strategies.
