Hello Friends and Family,

We are excited to announce that Ball at the Hall is back in a BIG way on Sunday, April 19th. Ball at the Hall began back in 2016 and benefits the Lauri Bauer Foundation for Sudden Loss and the Lauri Bauer Grief Centers. Lauri Bauer passed away from a sudden heart arrhythmia just over 15 years ago, leaving behind her husband Scott and three sons (Alex – 16, Jake – 14 and Brett – 12, at the time.)

This incredible event was started by Sammy Alum Alex Bauer to raise awareness for sudden loss and children’s grief. Jake also attended IU and continued the tradition of running the Ball at the Hall philanthropy event until he graduated. Brett attended the University of Colorado and continued fundraising for the LSB Foundation in Boulder. The event and most importantly the cause has had such a profound effect on the Sigma Alpha Mu brothers at IU that they have continued the tradition of hosting this amazing 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament inside Assembly Hall.

All of the proceeds from Ball at the Hall go to the amazing foundation created in Lauri’s honor. The foundation has done incredible work over the years, helping and saving thousands of children and their families that have suffered a sudden loss and providing a support network that many do not have.
